WAUNAKEE WINTER WANDERERS WELCOMES YOU
About the Waunakee Winter Wanderers...
Our club, in conjunction with numerous Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs, provides approximately 25,000 miles of snowmobile trail. Wisconsin's trails are some of the best trails in the United States for the snowmobiler to ride and enjoy.
The trail system in Wisconsin is made possible by club members who are volunteers. Without club members and club volunteers, there would be no snowmobile trails. The Waunakee Winter Wanderers Club is responsible for a portion of the state system through Dane County, Wisconsin.
A high percentage of the trails in Wisconsin cross private land. Our season starts each year with many hours spent negotiating trails with landowners who are very generous in allowing the use of their property for snowmobile recreation. Once the approvals are in place and crops are harvested, our volunteers plan the routes, remove the brush, mark the trails, disk the fields, service the groomer, assist with mapping, and repair the bridges to make certain they are ready for the riding season. Once we receive enough snow to open the trails our club grooms and maintains the trails for the enjoyment of all.
We value each and every one of our members and encourage you to join a club and make a difference.
